What Is a Telecommunications Power Supply?
Telecommunications equipment are typically powered by 48V dc power supplies. The output from a dc power supply needs to be isolated (sometimes called floated) so that it can be negatively biased if needed, and down converted to run subsystems and ICs that operate at 24V, 12V, 5V, 3.3V, 2.5V, etc. Volteq DC power supplies are isolated and adjustable up to 50V, and are widely used by equipment manufacturers in manufacturing, R&D, and testing of telecommunication and networking equipments.
